Bucket & Cylinder
This instrument is for demonstrating Archimedes’ principle. The bucket has a suspension loop at the top and a hook at the bottom. This is a simple aluminum unit, suitable for class demonstration or individual use. The cylinder has a suspension hook at one end. Immersing the cylinder into a container of water, you can notice an apparent weight reduction: the upward buoyant force that is exerted on a body immersed in a fluid, whether fully or partially submerged, is equal to the weight of the fluid that the body displaces.
